Car Insurance Identity Theft Cover
Having your identity stolen can prove to be a very distressing experience. Your identity and personal information are valuable. Criminals can find out your personal details and use them to open bank accounts and get credit cards, loans, state benefits and documents such as passports and driving licenses in your name.
This identity theft policy will cover you for up to £10,000 for irrecoverable financial loss and legal expenses arising from identity theft as long as the insured is 18 years old or over and is a permanent resident in the UK. Business related losses are excluded as is if your identity was stolen by a member of your family or someone living with you. The theft must also be reported to the police.
