Car Insurance Personal Accident Cover
We include up to £5,000 Personal Accident Cover in our Comprehensive Motor Insurance policies as standard but if you don't have this level of cover or you would like to be covered for more, you can extend your policy to include extra cover.
This would provide you with cover up to £30,000 which would mean you would be covered in the event of serious injury or death resulting from a car accident.
There are some significant exclusions on the Personal Accident Cover policy which are below:
- The Death Benefit for any insured person under the age of 16 or in full time education is limited to £2,500
- No compensation will be paid out if under the influence of drink or drugs, even as a passenger
- You will not be covered when taking part in certain excluded activities and actions
- You will not be covered for any claim happening from a disability or condition for which medical advise or treatment happened before the start of the policy
- You must be under 81 at the start/renewal of the policy
- The claims limit per person is £30,000. The maximum payable in total for all people for any one event is £240,000
