Citroen C2 - 'Decent drive'

The Citroen C2 is an attractive and affordable model which has the edge over some rivals thanks to features such as a paddleshift gearchange, a reviewer states.

Parker's writes that the car has a large windscreen for improved visibility but that backwards visibility is hampered at times by the small rearview mirrors and window.

Both the steering wheel and driver's seat are adjustable and the cabin is logically laid out for a comfortable driving position.

Space in the rear of the model is tight but does not cause any great discomfort on short journeys, while the sound system and air conditioning are of good quality and among the perks of the car.

The seats could benefit from being more supportive and the door plastics do not appear to be high quality, the reviewer suggests.

However, kit levels are good, with even standard models featuring tinted windows, power steering, driver and passenger front airbags, height adjustable seatbelts, head restraints and remote central locking.

The 1.1-litre engine is suited to town driving as well as being cheap to run, while the 1.4-litre option would be better placed with motorists who spend a lot of time on the motorway.

Easy to drive, the model corners well and offers accurate steering.
