Vauxhall Vectra Saloon 'An improved contender'The revised Vauxhall Vectra Saloon is now better equipped to compete with competitors thanks to an improved chassis as well as being more suited to driving on UK roads, a reviewer has claimed.
According to Parker's, the upgraded engines and minor changes to the interior are among the amendments which have helped enhance the model.
Extra aluminium trim and a leather-effect surface covering inside the car are notable changes, while the model remains one of the most comfortable in its class, the reviewer states.
The engines are reasonably quiet but the kit offered on the new model is not as impressive as the equipment featuring on the hatchback and estate options, according to the reviewer, but consumers can expect a CD player, electric windows, alloy wheels and air conditioning.
Various engine options are available, including a 2.2-litre model which boasts better CO2 emissions and fuel economy, while the models have also been altered to increase composure when travelling over UK roads.
Plenty of airbags and safety systems come with the model, which achieved four out of five stars in Euro NCAP safety tests.
The Vauxhall Vectra Saloon is available from £15,912 in car insurance groups seven to 11.
