Christmas presents should be kept out of sight to limit the chance of a car being burgled and the vehicle should be parked in a well-lit area and locked before the motorist leaves it unattended.

Recent research by car fleet firm Masterlease found that 64 per cent of female drivers endanger their women's car insurance by daydreaming in the car and not being able to recall what they were thinking about by the time they reach their destination.
