Women drivers 'can get a good insurance deal'

Female drivers who are coming to the end of a one-year's free women's car insurance deal are being advised that they can still find a good price for their cover.

According to the Scotsman, females could find they receive an encouraging quote on their women's car insurance because of their perceived safer driver nature.

Their low-risk image could also be beneficial for males looking to add a woman to their car insurance policy, with the premium potentially lowering as a result.

Women drivers tend to have fewer accidents and in the event of a crash occurring, generally only need to make minor claims on their women's car insurance, the publication adds.

Females were recently urged by charity Royal Automobile Club Foundation to ensure they note how safe a vehicle is when on the lookout for a new model, rather than just focusing on the vehicle's green credentials.

Kwik-Fit Insurance provides its female customers with £150 personal belongings cover as part of their women's car insurance policy.
