Women drivers 'rate the Nissan Note'

Females, who often receive cheap deals on their women's car insurance, are keen on Nissans, reports have shown.

After reaching the milestone of selling 100,000 examples of the Note multipurpose vehicle in just over a year, the car manufacturer has compiled a number of facts and figures to celebrate the occasion, CarKeys.co.uk reports.

Women drivers now make up one-third of the car's buyers, the results highlight, with the Note's most popular shade being silver grey in Europe and intense blue in the UK.

Of those purchasing the car, more than half were aged under 50, with a third having previously owned a higher value vehicle. The most popular trim level was seen to be the SE, which accounted for 75 per cent of sales.

In an earlier study commissioned by eBayMotors.co.uk, women drivers were found to rank the Aston Martin Vanquish as their favourite name for a model of car.

More than 80 per cent of female motorists could save on their women's car insurance with Kwik-Fit Insurance, a study from last year has shown.
