Our people

We have approximately 1000 employees within our single site workplace based in Uddingston, Scotland. Our people are central to everything we do and we act on a daily basis to invest in their training, career progression and facilities as we look to give them every opportunity to fulfil their potential here at Kwik Fit Insurance.

Without our staff there would be no Kwik Fit Insurance. We aim to give our people the best opportunity to lead a healthy and active lifestyle and have implemented a strategy to support this called healthy working lives. We operate flexible working hours to allow staff a good work/life balance while encouraging them to join our Healthy Living Club. The Healthy Living Club consists of an onsite gym, access to instructor led fitness classes, and a variety of different types of massage and range of beauty treatments. We also have a chill out room, open to all staff, with wide screen TVs, Nintendo Wiis, pool tables and sofas.

Our healthy working lives strategy was recognised in 2009 as we picked up the Gold award from The Scottish Centre for Working Lives - the first provate sector organisation to be recognised in this way.

We encourage staff to voice their opinions here at KFI as we seek to provide them with the workplace that best suits their needs. Twice a year we run an employee survey called ‘Your Opinion Counts’. This encourages frank and open debate within our staff and we look to implement as many ideas as possible. Our September 2008 survey revealed that 77% of staff considered KFI a fantastic place to work, something that we are incredibly proud of.

Finally, we look to reward excellence and loyalty in our people with a series of gala dinners each year. The first of these is our Employee of the Year dinner, honouring our top performers throughout the previous year. In addition, each summer we also host dinners for staff with 5 and 10 years service as a thank you for their continued loyalty and dedication.
