About Us


Who are we?

Since its inception in 1995, Kwik-Fit Financial services has grown from under 100 people to over 800 and has developed into one of Scotland's most dynamic and successful call centres. Operating from a purpose-built contact centre in Uddingston, just outside Glasgow, we are an independent intermediary specialising in general insurance, for you, your car and your home.

This year we were ranked 15th by the Sunday Times in the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the UK.

We are entirely focused on providing the best possible service to our customers, across the length and breadth of the country, and similarly, we work very hard to provide all our staff with the training programmes and mentoring necessary to allow them to maximise their potential.

What kind of job could I do?

We have a wide range of positions within the call centre and no matter your level of experience there will be something to suit you! From working in our fast placed sales environment, updating policies and handling varied enquiries in our customer care department, you will be able to use existing skills or indeed learn and develop new ones. We are a company that encourages people to realise their potential and whether you are claims, sales or administration consultant, there is scope to grow your career in a number of areas - who knows, you could become one of our top consultants.

What about training - I've heard it's good?

We have a custom-built Training Academy, running many different courses. Depending on which department you are joining, your initial class room training could last up to four weeks and covers all aspects of products and systems. After this you could have up to a further four weeks' transition training, both in the classroom and on-the-job, with extra support and guidance available from your trainer. You will even be able to study for insurance qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Kwik-Fit Financial Services is accredited as an Investor in People. You will receive regular appraisals and have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and thoughts on how best to develop your career.

How many people are in a team?

Normally there are between 10 - 14 Consultants in your team, plus a Team Leader. This can vary though depending on the size of the department you work in.

What hours will I work?

This depends on the department you work in. All full-time employees work 37.5 hours a week. Our Call Centre is open 8am - 10pm and depending on what department you work in shifts can be static or rotating e.g. Outbound Sales work: 1 week dayshift 9.00am - 5.30pm Mon-Fri and 1 week back shift 1.15pm - 8.45pm Mon-Fri and Sat 9.00am - 1.00pm.

Variable shift patterns are necessary to provide our customers with the quality of response and service that makes us one of the UK leaders in our field. Full details will be provided at your interview.

What opportunities are there to develop my career?

We aim to help every member of staff reach their potential. As you'd expect, what you get out depends on what you put in. We seek to promote from within wherever possible with all our Team Leader positions filled internally. We have a unique Deputy Team Leader Development Programme, which is designed to assist in the development of the skills necessary for successful managers of the future. To develop your skills in your current position we have an open learning facility called the learning lab. Different courses can be taken from 'Closing the Sale' to 'Conducting a Business Meeting' through to learning a new language.

What is the dress code?

Kwik-Fit Financial Services expects all it's employees to be smartly dressed in business like attire, which projects a professional image. We also have our own branded shirts and polo shirts and you will receive one of these when you join.

What can I expect at an interview?

The interview will last approximately 1 hour and is a competency based interview consisting of a series of structured questions designed to concentrate on the key skills and behaviours you will need for the role you have applied for. There will also be time during the interview for you to ask questions about the role you have applied for.
